Rules and Regulations for Richmond Valley Sportfishing Club (RVSC)

RVSC is a bass restocking club. Just a reminder that our BASS/BREAM comps are social competitions to enjoy our sport and raise funds for fish restocking and improvement of habitat. We aim to enjoy our days on the water and here is a reminder of the rules and regulations we adhere to to be fair to all anglers.

* NSW DPI Fisheries Rules and Regulations MUST be maintained at all times on the water. This means SIZE and BAG limits MUST be observed. ie

BASS .. 2 fish in total per angler & only ONE (1) fish over 35cm ... if a team BASS event only 4 fish in possession in the live well at any time.
BREAM .. 5 fish per angler Min size 25cm Be aware of regulations for TEAM comps.

Measurement is from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail

measure-fish4.gif

* All entry forms signed by the competitors

* Marshals to check live-wells at any time

* Fishing courtesy and common sense maintained while on the water ... no closer than 20M to another boat

* All KEY TAGS to be to the WEIGH MASTER by the finish time (even if there is a delay getting your boat off the water ... there is a 50g reduction per minute late after finish time

* WEIGH MASTER has final say on weights and measures .. it is at his/her discretion to have fish measured and give final result. Weigh master or marshals will return all fish to the water after the competition. Any tampering with tails of fish or falsifying measurements will result in the disqualification of the fish for the final result for the angler. Any disputes or protests to be made BEFORE the presentation of prizes.
