What fish ?

Ok I have had a answer on the King fish situation, now I am not sure I understand what happens with the fish I know of once you start looking at Australian shore fishing?

Snapper I understand can be caught anywhere south of the Tropic of capricorn though I may be wrong?
In New Zealand you can catch Snapper of most beaches on the North Island in spring and summer. They disappear about July, but yet again it seems that for some reason or other Snapper
will not frequent the beaches of NSW. I know some really good sized Snapper come off the Boats, but what happens to the Pannies? the 34cm fish which have to be there somewhere?
I know some of the beaches have shellfish and worm beds so the food is there, and some of the beaches have good depth close in.
So basically I am at a loss.

I have a Backbone Elite 24/37kg Rod coupled to a Torrium 30 reel a great set up for land based Kings on Live baits. It seems another rod unemployed.
