Bye-bye more recreational fishing! Any National Park or Nature Reserve that fronts or adjoins a marine park, automatically becomes a so called "sanctuary zone." South Ballina Beach Nature Reserve, Broadwater National Park, Bundjalung National Park, Iluka National Park etc, will all be locked up! And the list goes on.

Got any details of the actual zones proposed ?
Does it also lock up the Richmond River, Evans River, Clarence River etc. or just the beaches?
Does it include the reefs out to sea including the 9 mile, 12 mile marks?

I remember when they put the Marine Reserve in around Lennox Head and even the locals couldn't
tell exactly where you could fish and where you couldn't. The guy that ran the Lennox Head Bait and Tackle shop
went out of business soon after.....another local fishing business bit the dust.....
