Ebor trout

Postby dags910 » Tue Jun 02, 2015 4:18 am

headed out to ebor on the weekend for a last trout session of the season
fishing started off fairly slow with my usual lure of choice a black magic 60mm bmax getting ignored
decided to try a strikepro 35mm baby archback with instant effect
managed 12 rainbow and 1 brown trout all around 23-26cm by flicking the pools
then I decided to be adventurous and head into a difficult to access stretch of creek which I have not explored
I stumbled accross a promising looking pool about 20m long with good inflow
first cast saw a glorified fingerling, next cast hit the top of the pool and was instantly hit
when I saw the fish roll new it was big, during an intense fight of hard runs and 5 foot leaps I had swear words ready to be unleashed when the fish threw the hooks
and then it was in the net... a 41cm monster of a rainbow a new pb and a beast of a fish from a small stream
thanks for reading

bloody great fish mate
