Absolutely fantastic - if you want to turn it in to a ships anchor.

I use premium unleaded ... no worries ... suppose to be better if left in the tank for long periods ... doesn't go "off" like ordinary unleaded

If you ever up my way, NEVER fill up at the old chinderah BP, the one on the old highway under the bridge new freeway bridge. Alot of locals fill up there as its on the way to Fingal Boat ramp. I had some problems recently with water in my fuel, I was talking to my mechanic and he said he has had 25 to 30 boats that fill up from there with water in fuel problems. >>: >>: >>: >>: >>: >>: >>:
But yeah I agree with Scott Premium Unlead only way to go.

Pretty sure I saw somewhere that ethanol is a massive joke as far as lowering carbon emmissions (which is a whole other debate in itself:think:)

The clip I saw said the extra oil powered machinery required to harvest and process all the grain outputs just as much carbon as you save from using the stuff. Much the same as those driving around in hybrids miss the point that the extra energy required to create hyrbrids offsets any savings in emissions for them as well.

Red Rocket, you should never fuel a boat at a BP anyway, they only sell ethanol blend fuel.

Actually Fereal not at my local BP at Terranora, its up to the franchise owner (if a franchise store) if they sell ethanol fuel. By the way its law for them to advertise on the pump if they are using E10 and Im not that stupid to add e10 to my tank if advertised on the pump, I have asked the owner at my local BP and they have reassured me that they do not sell ANY e10 fuel at all.

I asked him again today because I was alittle unsure afetr your coments. He said "they were a franchise store and chose not to sell ethanol fuel" He continued to say that most of the larger BP stations on the Freeway will have a mix of both but It will ALWAYS be advertised on the pump if E10 is being served.

I just bought a 2001 Mariner 30hp 2 stroke, it says in the manual that 10% ethanol is OK.
Just in relation to pump fuel. Any fuel can legally contain up to 5% ethanol and the provider has no responsibility to notify in any way.

No way Id put E10 in my o/board ,premiums the way to go & gas & boats arnt a good mix ,what happens if you have a leak it goes to the lowest point thats usually where theres a electrical bilge pump "":( gas detectors are a must in boats.
